The Heavy Price Still Payed

In this place, we make our stand
And formed a line to break your hand.
The rattling of your saber's warn,
Brings no fear for we are sworn.
To defend our land till our last breath,
We'll hold the line and fear not death.

Though war ensues, our hearts are true,
We've no wish to cleave these lives from you.
We only seek a freedom's gain
From your crown that brings us pain.
Our souls will fight till freedom rings,
We won't give in till you concede.

The blood that flows from our fallen friends,
Who gave their lives with brutal end,
Ensures our hopes in freedom's fight
While cannons belch and shatter night.

Forever may our freedom be,
We'll fight and die for this you see.
The shot once heard around the world,
Caused in time a flag unfurled.

A heavy price they all once paid
Now passed on as freedom reigns.
Each and every soldier stands,
As peace has placed a gun in hand.

Without question they forever go
And fight a war because they know.
Without their will we'd all be hushed,
Our pride filled freedom would then be crushed.

This story told of something sought,
Of blood and war and freedom bought.
To each our lives are owed a debt,
Our flag still flies, lest we forget.

The freedom that allows us to inhale and exhale this fresh American air each day.
The fight still stands for those who have become prey to the melecious attacks on us,
We will not let them turn our skys grey, not today, not any day...
