Not off this site, but I met someone a couple years ago thru Cupid.com or whatever and it started out pretty good, but ended up being weak....

What can I say, he swept me off my feet. I am such a sucker for sweet talk. I had just gotten divorced after 17 yrs and well, he just knew all the right things to say and do. Just wasn't meant to be....happened way to fast, and you are right, just can't drive 55,lololol

Gees, I clicked with John over the two months, online, phone calls and webcam type "dates", then he moved down here and things just took off. I believe we were meant to be, even if only for that small amount of time. He gave me something I needed, as I did him. Don't expect folks to understand, that's ok. He and I will probably end up very good friends.

Have met several..two were ok, but not my type and one showed up in wrinkled clothes, hair all over his clothes, and the body odor was just plain stomach turning!! After each one they constantly im'd me, wanting to meet again, one just showed up in town the next evening and that kind of bothered me. Makes me re-think about this online dating...so I'm mostly here for the forums now. I don't like being stalked, or pressured after meeting. Best reason in the world to meet in a very public place and not give people a phone mumber that will 99% of the time link right to your home address. If they are not comfortable to meet you in a public place a couple of times most likely they are looking for a booty call, a loan, or a place to crash. |

Our Minister reported that at a recent national meeting of pastors they said that 80% of couples marrying reported in premarital counseling sessions that they met and got to know each other on line. |

I met a few from here and 250 + at a get together last yr that i organized on different site was blast but no connections yet..

What I do find interesting is just this---is that with all the new people I do meet online, I keep running into the people I went to high school with. And what is really odd to me, is that, it almost seems like time has stopped for some. Ya know?
