I don't watch the news because it is all about tragedies and celebrity gossip.

And you really don't have to read any part of the paper that you don't want to.

None of my friends waste their breath gossiping about Britney Spears.

Wanting someone to die when they have never done anything to you seems a tad harsh.

Personally I think that poor child needs to have everybody just leave her the hell alone. I couldnt function normally if I had camaeras shoved up my azzzz whereever I turned.

I understand that she is not a paragon of virtue or a role model by any means, but shouldn't that be her choice? I see why people don't admire her but I don't understand why they seem to hate her so much..they are the same way with Paris Hilton..yeah she is spoiled but she never did anything to you, so why all the anger?
I have enough trouble staying angry with people who have actually done me wrong.

I used to laugh at Britney like almost everybody else, but now I think she may have a serious problem and I feel sorry for her.

When I was checking out the threads and saw this, I had the same thought. Why do we care about her, and to repeat what you said, in what way does she affect any American's daily life?

Britney Spears is a celebrity who is extremely talented
and whose music has touched and inspired many. She has
problems too. Some associated with her fame others perhaps
purely of her own making. But she has traveled a path
which involved pressures and hardships which few ever
experience because few have her type of special talent.
I do feel sorry for her and her struggles. I hope she can
overcome her personal problems and return to performing
so we can all enjoy her music again.

Does anyone really read the newspaper or listen to what is being said? I do not think so.

Brittany has been diagnosed for a while now as Bi-polar. She was born that way, nothing she has done created it. The medicine she was taking was making her worse. Sometimes it takes a long time to find the right medicine and dose to get the situation under control.

I know people who are Bi-polar. It can be an ugly scene and, they cannot help their actions. Medicine greatly helps the situation, but many times people do not want to admit needing the medication. They just want to be normal and cannot accept the fact that there is something wrong with them, which leads to other problems.

The news media certainly does not help her,they only make things worse for her.

You know, someone could, just take a simple few seconds and say a little prayer for her to get well.

Underneath the hype, the hypocrisy, and the sheer and utter malicious rumours, statements and sensationalism, is a damaged young woman, and for some of us, the same age as our own daughters.
