WooHooo !!!

I just got a "Happy Mother's Day" call from Ms. Pammy herself. How awesome. We only talked for a few minutes. She still has the trach in her throat but had the speaker valve in so she could talk.

That really made my day - to hear from my "Cabbage Patch Sis" - woohoo!!!

She is getting stronger every day, no idea how long before she gets out of the rehab center yet, but she is a fighter, so she will make it.

The best news and present for Mother's Day I could of gotten....Strength be with you Sweet Sweet Pam.....

Happy Mother's Day Pam.......you should be real proud of your kids.....they are fantastic!! I know the rest of the JSH Familia is plenty proud of them!!!

It was such an awesome surprise to get the call from her. She can only talk a few minutes yet, but wow - so cool to hear her voice for the first time since the end of February. The last conversation I had with her was to tell her to go to the doctor and the next day she was admitted and put on the ventilator.

I told her I loved her and she said it brings tears to her eyes to hear me use the "love" word, because she knows how hard it is for me, but not when it comes to her. I don't have any sisters and Pam is the closest thing to a sister I have ever had, and she has been an awesome friend.

I thank God every day for her coming into my life, and now for her getting stronger and recovering too.

I know that both Eileen and I are waiting for the day when we can see her again. All of our love and prayers.

Is she getting better?

Yes, she is getting better. She is off the ventilator finally, her lung is healing. She has to rebuild herself physically as she has been in bed for so long so is working with physical therapy to get her strength back. She still has the tracheotomy in her throat but has a speaker valve so she can talk now when it is in, and she can eat real food now, so YES, she is getting better every day.

Prayers do work. Hurry and get stronger Pammy, we miss you and love you and want you back on here. Love ya, Sis.
