So often in my travels,I see these beautiful woman & I make eye contact & smile at them.Most will return eye contact for a few seconds but then look away & go about their business.(some will return a smile)w/their eye contact.K;the thing is I really do not like cornball/cheesy pick-up lines.And I would never say something disrespectful to a lady.What are some pleasant conversation starters so that I may catch their interest but not come across the wrong way.I'm looking to peak their interest not have my face slapped or have them tell me get lost.I'd appreciate your feedback ladies.Thx!Godspeed!CyPoet

Hellos are always a good ice breaker. Now here is another clever opening my God-brother used on his (now) wife: "Hey, what's the word?" This occurred in church before choir bible study. Funny, but my God-sister thought it was the cutest thing. They hooked up, married, and have a little son.
I guess it would depend on your surrounding. But let's stick with "Hello".

Look at her ..does she have a book in her hand, is she wearing interesting shoes, is she carrying a shopping bag? You can ask her what she is reading, compliment her shoes, ask about her shopping. I don't pick people up, but I like to be charming and people really respond when you notice something about them and ask them to talk about it.
This does NOT mean asking - how did you get so fat? Or ..my, you really sweat alot! Use your judgement. |

I thank U ladies soooooo much U have given me some great advice.I will try this aproach.As far as the guys feedback(yeah;they got jokes)But this is a serious Q not comedy hour.Hence!the word LADIES when I started the thread.I've rented homes in Lakewood,Co & Lorain,Ohio in the past.It seems 2 me their lifestyle is more slower & laid back than in Mass where I currrently reside.People in general here are more quickened & stressed but I will try this approach.p.s.H~C;I would never make a comment like that 2 a woman.Thx!4 ur advice sweetheart.I wish U the best.Godspeed!CyPoet(((bear~hug)))
