Uh ..8 years older than you is what, 30? Why wouldn't he "still have it"? It's not like he's 80 Yes he's 30; isn't that why older men date younger women in the first place? To prove to some higher god, they can still nail the "job"? I thought that was why they went after us older women - the ones who have something to compare them with. Did you consider that maybe he dated you because he liked you as a person? Lots of people actually do that. Yes I have considered that actually; I just wondered why he's being so selfish now. Me not being around in the last week b/c of work, I just wonder why it's ok for him to disappear for a day and not explain where he was while I was at home worrying about his brains being splattered on the highway somewhere, but it's not ok for me to disappear; and have to explain what happened....there's two sides to every street I think... he sounds inconsiderate. Sadly, not a function of age so much as maturity. some never grow out of it. |

I've been dating this guy for a little over a month now. I have been up front and honest with my feelings, and my intentions of eventually moving back to another state to be with my family, which is at the end of the year. Now I feel like he's blowing me off, not returning my calls, disappearing every once in a while, and it upsets me, but I don't worry about it too much; because it's not like we're dating exclusively...but the second I don't call him and let him know I ok, he gets all defensive and asks if he did something wrong or if I am still interested in him. It's very weird. Guys...any advice?  Men

Maybe he's upset or maybe he's moved on already and doesn't feel the need to hurt your feelings if you're leaving anyway. You could just ask HIM instead of us?

I did, we're not seeing each other anymore; it seems as though he just stopped being interested...oh well
