Topic: SO LITTLE ....YET SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! Please do.......

Hello friends and family. I have a huge favor to ask of you all. I have a cousin, Gene Gardner, who lives in Grove, Oklahoma that has battled brain tumors since 1999. Unfortunately, Gene is losing his fight with cancer and is slowly being weakened by it. The preacher's wife is on a mission to do something good for Gene's birthday. March 7 will be Gene's 25th birthday. She is circulating the following request: I have this huge dream of presenting Gene with as many birthday cards as possible for his birthday...cards have meant so much to him thru all this. I am not asking for money or gifts; all I desperately want is to give Gene a thousand birthday cards to let him know that we love him! And if not a thousand, at least 250!!! If you possibly could, would you send a card to Gene c/o Bible Baptist Church P.O. Box 450935 Grove, OK. 74345? Some of you have already sent cards, and I appreciate that so much. Here is the second part of the favor I need. Would you forward this to as many as you can on your email list? Would you print this off and share it with your churches, or anyone who would be interested in doing this? I know Mark and Elaine's (Gene's parents) hearts are breaking as Gene gets worse, and it would mean so much to them as well, to know that so many care about their son. I should also mention that Gene's only sibling, Dale, is serving in the army in Iraq . Maybe a school class or a Sunday school class would like to participate. I plan to put this request in the Grove paper, but time is short to get this many cards. So could you please grant me this one favor? I promise to never ask anything of any of you again!!! Thanks to all of you who will do this!! God bless you in a special way!!!

Hummm yeah I would like to know also is this yours and KennethP5206 cousin for I was lead to believe it was his cousin if it is not either yours or his I would like to know for I went to bat to be able to even leave this thread up in the first place. Now this is not right to lead others to believe something that is not even who we think it is for but intead for something being passed around on the internet so ya I want to know for sure.

I agree Txs .... please let us know I should have checked this with snopes.com ..... yep should have sigh smacks forehead for bein' stupid It may be true Deb .. but the point is we were led to believe it was YOUR cousin .. not an internet request. That's the problem here. Not whether the guy exists or not. Just sayin hon.

Actually the problem was I was lead to believe it was KennethP5206 cousin just a few days ago and went to bat for him with Mike to leave the post up due to it breaks JSH Forum Rules in posting and address. It is due to things like this is why we have to back track and go strictly by the rules with no exceptions.

Deb it's not about the card and the stamp. Comeon hon. You knew I was all over it in the first place. It's just anytime we say something we are taken at face value. If we are leading people to believe different than what we say, then next time they won't believe it either. It's called integrity. To make sure your 'word' is not questioned then you always have to be sure what you say is what we hear. It's not about the card. Not at all.

This is Kenneth's cousin....just verified it.....Not mine but Kenneth's just want more people to see and hopefully respond. Also people taking this to my church and to my Woman's club......
