Awww now the best way to handle those is when they call back again. Tell them to hold on just a second then in a lound enough voice say:

Sam just put that one in a body bag nothing we can do for him and get to more body bags while your at it.

Then get back on the phone and say hey you have just called a crime scene and at this moment we have tranced your phone number there will be an officer calling you in a few as a suspect please stay by your phone until they call you.

Then Hang up most likely they will not call you again. noway noway laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I heard that once to use on telemarketers.laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

When I had my "stalker" the first thing I did was call the police. They will tell you everything to do, but first off we started by keeping track of how often he called. Then we decided that we should go ahead and trace the next time he called. So the police and the phone company did work very good together.
You have to understand my calls went on for about 2 1/2 years. This is really nothing to mess with because I truly think people are crazy. My calls finally ended when I shut off my home phone and went to my cell phone only.
BUT I am still on guard and I still listen for that voice because I still don't know who was calling. So I am always looking over my shoulder!!!
Good luck flowerforyou

Actually if you have there number all you have to do is call the phone company and they can put a block on your phone where they can not call you from that number also. But yes being serious call the local police department tell them your situation and believe me due to the nature of your situation they will act on it in an orderly fashion. Good Luckflowerforyou

Wow that is scary. If it is who I think it is, he is really unstable. I should probably get a caller id and an answering machine for the calls I don't recognize.

I had a prank caller before...I worked nights and so slept during the day and they would call when I was sleeping. well I had had enough I think it was about 4 days of it and when I answered and it was the prankster I screamed as loud as I could into that phone (I'm a very high pitched screamer)...but they never called again

Wow that is scary. If it is who I think it is, he is really unstable. I should probably get a caller id and an answering machine for the calls I don't recognize.

In the beginning the police told me not to worry, he probably just thinks I am pretty and he wants to ask me out for a date but he is afraid to. I said this is way beyond that, would you date someone that keeps calling you and if you were not there..they would call your mothers house? Thats when they knew I had a problem and they started coming by my house just to check on me. It is a very scary situation, so don't wait to long before you get a hold of the police.
If they block their number, caller ID will not show anything any way. I had caller ID and it always showed up as BLOCKED CALL, so he knew exactly what he was doing. He was never rude, he was actually very polite, BUT I just had cancer surgery and I had been very sick. The last thing I needed was a man bothering me!!! huh
So before it gets out of hand, contact the police. It can get out of hand really fast. This is how people disappear and get killed. Make sure people around you know whats going on...everyone around me knew that I had a stalker, that way, if someone strange showed up..they called the police right away.

Will do unsure. No worries. I talk to my neighbors everyday and they all know me and I have plenty of male friends and my brother lives not too far from me. So if anything were to happen, the person would be tracked down.bigsmile

Hi Suze, ask them to breathe harder, tell them that unless they can breathe within reasonable parameters, from which you can ascertain the message they are attempting to convey, that you will be unable to produce a clear and understandable format on which to base your reply and therefore no reply will be granted up and until such qualifications are met. moreover our system database simply does not recognize your current format and we require more tangible input in order to reach a viable conclusion before we can establish a reply.

lol, that should do it....if they aren't asleep by then...they will at least be bored out of their mind.

on a serious note, if that continues i would ask the police to put a trace on your phone.

laugh laugh I might seriously do that. laugh laugh
