The Broken In Hope

Hope springs eternal
Where broken dreams lie.
The visons corrupted
Spoken through sigh.
The heart can't be reached
Through solid brick walls,
Built by the downtrod,
After the fall.

Burrow you may,
Be prepared for deceit,
The broken encountered,
Secured by defeat.

Patience and trust,
Uncommon to find,
The few of the broken
Who've chosen to hide.

Only by patience
And wisdom in part,
Leads to the path
where the broken
Lives are.

Don't break down the walls,
It only brings pain,
Don't promise your love
If it's only in vain.

Never play on the hope
Hid deep inside,
Their well is so shallow
It may dry up and die.

Speak only in whipsers
Of truth so sincere,
If they find that you love,
They'll let you near.

They might open their wall
If just for you,
And look for encouragement
In things that they do.

Give them some patience
And grow it with time,
Understand problems
And draw a fine line.

Listen intently
And care for their sake,
Never for granted
Their love will you take.

One day you'll notice
Their walls start to move,
It's then that you'll understand,
Your love's been approved.
