I only stagger this stony way as the lost soul mate
to winter's foliage upon which I dream these dreams
My visage, a molded descent from the heights of youth
A drone carries my voice to sing harmony
with the winds of the cold day
to be in harmony with the sleeping Earth

I only stagger this frozen way as the weary wanderer
from the beaten roads
My love, the tempest blows through sheer day's cloth
through the tattered dusk veil
and always unseen asunder inside musky night's cloak
She rides like petals on a spring breeze but blackened still

I only stagger this winter wood
as love's loss and a smile's faithful tear
My love is still and no longer in my touch

I only stagger this staggered path
to fall
comfortable in olden dreams
to rest
that this be eternal peace
