Definitely both. Many of us use truth.. or their version of truth ~ like a weapon. Truth from a place of caring and concern is honest, genuine. Truth from a point of attack or fear? Is not much better then a lie. It is just a way to manipulate, control... Which is far from honest.

truth with tact is an art.truth told to hurt or humliate well if you don't have anything nice to say STFU.
