i truly find it interesting how some people on here think because someone flirts with you a few times that means that you own them. i find it even more interesting that its usually several at one time that they think they own. so if the other person is also emailing and "flirting" and talking to you and its nothing but friendship between you and you are told to back off because they are "owned" by someone else...how do you handle that? seems to be an ongoing issue here and quite frankly its amuzing the hell out of me! even more funny is when you ask the alledged "owned" person whats up with that they have no clue what you are talking about!!!! Apologizing in advance for the lengthy post, but it pushed a few buttons for me.... I agree with You, MadamX. It seems this way of thinking is more prevalent among those who do not really understand the seriousness and commitment behind Ownership; especially cyberdoms and cybersubmissives. It goes hand in hand with cyber velcro collars. I find it truly offensive and insulting. I mean, would a vanilla person consider themselves engaged after just a few email, IM, or phone conversations? Even before meeting the person? Would they consider marrying someone after knowing them for less than half a year? Usually no. I mean, let's get real here! An honorable Dominant would never break the boundaries of a D/s or Lifestyle relationship once They were informed of the couple's protocol and of the rules against contact with property without the Owner's consent. The same goes for cyber slaves. I find it truly offensive when single submissives petition a Dominant who has made it known that he has property and is also monogamous. Of course, it is up to the Dominant to set and maintain the boundaries of His own relationship. While I do understand that for some, cyber play is all they have, it bothers me when some take what it is that we do lightly, like a joke. They play at it. To each their own, but I would not take such players seriously. I also wouldn't seriously consider a Dominant who violated relationship boundaries seriously. Nor would I be eager to befriend or vouch for a submissive who made a practice of doing the same. It takes investment of time, energy, emotion, and more to build a strong foundation for a D/s or M/s relationship; just as it does in vanilla relationships - if not more. I seek Someone I can trust and respect. As for myself, I continually strive to be worthy of my SO's trust and respect, as well.

I forgot to add that Ownership gets me way HOT! D/s and the concept of ownership and property is one of my biggest turn ons. It also fits with who I am and what I need in my life.

when you are speaking in terms of that type of ownership...much different there. i agree...i enjoy what i own in that relationship. as those i own enjoy it the same. also agree at not taking is seriously. there are some that are "experimenting" if you will. some that are learning about it. then there are those that only joke with it or toy with the idea. its cyber world....in real life, its a whole other realm.
