Yesterday, another shooting here in Illinois. Six young people at Northern IL University are now dead, along with the nutjob. A week and a half ago, there were five women murdered at a store in my hometown of Tinley Park. HEY, NUTJOBS!!! Listen up!! If you're going to do a murder/suicide, do society a huge favor, and start with the suicide..

That kind of sad stuff is exactly why I avoid the news most of the time.

i think the media is the big problem because they cover the issue too much and personally i think it just gives the wierdo viewers an idea for them to do it too

It is a truly sad situation....all the weirdos and dope that is out there...we never know when it could happen to us or someone we care about...what is this world coming to....my heart goes out to all the families for their loss....

Do you know in what town in Northern Illinois?
My best friend is in college there. This is the first I have heard of it, and I can't call him. He just had his phone disconnected.
If anything happened to him I'd just die, I have known him since 1st grade. I love him, and he knows it. |

it's so sad,,,,,but where does it start from,,,a unhappy home life,,kidsat school maken fun of them,or another kid done in but th politics of th city,,,,,,,or is it like some one elese say,,,,copy cats,,,,,,,,,,something is rong somewhere

I feel so bad for the family and friends of those kids. My friend and I are so close he is like a brother to me, and I know how I would feel if I lost him. I would never be the same again. I am sitting here crying at just the thought of it. Maybe this explains the strange email I got from him this morning. And now I feel even worse, I never sent him one back. How far is Savoy from DeKalb, anyone know? |

The main reason people go on these killing sprees is they have it in there messed up heads that they can get away with it. Once they realize there is no way out they kill themselves. If you ask me I think that they should bring back some old time hangins and I can garentee that the murder rate will go down.

i think they should bring back national service get them all trained and doing something useful then maybe kids wouldnt be bored and do half the stuff they do...i read a story in paper firefighters trying to put out a fire were pelted and abused by a gang of teenagers....bored and no respect for anything...and yes i know this doesnt apply to all kids

The shooter was a graduate student that transfered down to U of I in Champaign, IL. He ironically was studying sociology, with an emphasis on corrections. He evidently did not want to go to prison after this event, so he chose the cowards way out of the situation. May he rot in hell for eternity for what he's done to these young folks.

copy catting is the higest form of flattery. it could be taken to ways either really good things or really bad things can come from a society raised on entertainment. it depends on what they try to emulate. and what example they had to from their parents when they were around. if they were.
