do you believe that robin?? i have a real friend from the net.Never met.but we are best ogf riends.so I don't believe that u can't amke life long friends on the net... oh her goes the spelling..oops sorry..

as i was thinking this is how i got my ex.
but the one thing i am very grateful is i prevented a teenage girl from committing suicide when i was learning the internet. i was studying to a computer programmer but screwed that up.she was only 15 at the time.i was in my classroom so i was on 2 comps.one looking for help and the other one talking to her, trying to keep her online. one of the best feelings i have had in my life,well having my 2 kids was cool too. |

she was my first rescue and i will remember her always.
but u know that made the internet so real that i was in nebr. and she in oregon. i guess what is my god given gift. i was hoping for something else. but i now realize that i having help and talking to people all my life animals as well. |

im a single mom ans in the eveings cant get out as much...so its great to chat with mty friends on here, have a giggle and make new friends.....also beats watchin boring tv lol

I would say it's both true and false... depending on your definitition of friend. There are a lot of people I'm getting to know and like on here, and I like them, but I find it hard to feel that close to people through a screen sometimes, it just seems a little distant. It definitely helps to meet in person, but that doesn't mean that you can't have friends online at all. Sometimes it's easier to talk to people online, and maybe in some way you're closer to those people. It depends on the person.
