I have nothing to give you,
Though I love you, I dare.
Wishing to take
The pain you bear.
May what I take, make you whole,
I am here now, to let you know.
The tears that you cried in dark of night
Gladly I take them and let in the light.
The scars of lonliness, concealed within,
I tried to fix with encouraging grin.
The sad eyes once perceived in pain,
Taken and cleansed, to brighten your day.
Your broken heart scattered to wind,
I found all the pieces, I'm trying to mend.
The sad frown that you gave in denial
Replaced by hope for that inner smile.
I take your worries into my breath,
Taken from you, I'll never regret.
I take away those nights so long
To aid in finding your hidden song.
And last I take the darkness inside,
So no longer you'll feel obligated to hide.
What I take is from you alone,
To show you the path that leads to home.
