Man you can't do a post like that!!!!laugh I don't know what to say!!! You actually STUMPED ME!!!!! Number 1 I HATE seeing people suffer!!!! My grandmother is suffering right now because her brain is dying and they can't do anything for her but, on the other hand if they are suffering too bad and if you're asked to pull the plug...would you do it????? For my grandmother.....yes, I would pull it and so would the rest of my family cause she's like a vegetable now.....and it makes me sad..... Number 2 An assisted suicide in my book is MURDER ONE!!!! I know it sounds harsh but, it is!!! People suffer and I KNOW IT'S HORRIBLE but, hey, gotta go by the law....pulling the plug is different though....you're not assisting a suicide cause the person doesn't even know what's going on....I dont' think it's the same thing anyway....some people might have different opinions.....It's a very touchy subject though.....In my eyes....

if your beeing serious im sorry for your grandmother
but peccy thats not a laughing matter your g-mas in my prayres:cry:
laughing at his 1st sentence, not his g'ma
I know what you meant peccy.....it's all good brother....drinker

I dont think so,But not sure,What about capitol punishment? If we kill murders, why not give those who are hurting & terminal the right to choose..Its there life. And we want to keepthem for us..to hold & love..Its always hard to let go..

I know i don't want to be kept alive by a machine, but i do respect others decisions to keep their loved ones alive, perhaps in hopes of a miracle. I do know this, My mom is the only one i have left and i already know her decision. I feel that if someones wishes are to have the plug pulled, then they should be given that. I strongly believe this should be a family decision, and not left up to the government, after all the government has had it's greedy hands in the till all our lives, i don't see where they need to be involved in family decisions such as this.

would you support assisted suicide/right-to-die legislation or not?

noway Murder is murder bottom line, to kill is to murder, regardless of how one tries to twist it.

I'm against killing as a means of punishment, but if someone is in untold agony it should be their right to decide. Don't think I could do it, though.

Yes! Dr. K used cruel and unusual ways of "assisting death" IMHO. However, Artherial Lateral Sclerosis(Lou Gerhigs Disease) is a terrible disease that I have seen first hand.(as a nurse). You are trapped in your body, wracked with pain and eventually you cannot breathe on your own and need a ventilator/respirator to breathe for you. You cannot communicate very well, tho we've(nurses) have been very inventive to the point of using blinks with the alphabet to help spell out words to let us know what these patients need. It is a horrible, horrible disease and, though I could not intentionally give a lethal overdose of pain medication to ease the suffering, I would hope someone would have the courage to end my suffering. That is one disease that if I am ever diagnosed with, I would find a way to end my life before I got in the shape that I would not be able to.

Depends on the circumstances, personally I'm pro-choice so if they decide that then we should accompany their decision, however there should be certain guidelines that should be followed (not necassarily stressed guidelines, just a more "do this if you want" guide).

I have no problem with assisted suicide in terminal cases and in some not so terminal cases .... many call suicide cowardess .... I call it bravery . To face the one thing we all are most afraid of takes much courage .

yes i would.i can't handle seeing one suffer i can flood a room.

and if someone is so bad they need to leave.in time they will deal with the great beyond.

it is a choice just like knowing the difference between good and evil.
