Our government is so screwed up, they will never change the things that need to be changed and they will never do the things that need to be done. It's up to all of us as individuals to try and make our world livable ;)

I agree, okay I will say it how I think it, isn't it hypocritical and f-d up that Bush can just hand money out and it is considered "economic revitalization" and so called liberals do it and they are bleeding heart socialist commies????

It doesn't work like that and you know it. You listen too much to that Hillary *****.

But no everybody would rather blame Bush

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code. Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy. Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 300 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

Excluded are the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank. Excluded are all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason, they have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton- picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

A CONFIDENCE CONSPIRACY
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a SPEAKER, who stood up and criticized G.W. BUSH for creating deficits.

The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto.

REPLACE THE SCOUNDRELS
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense over runs, that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ. There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation" or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees. We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess.

it is our responsibility to make sure the government takes car of these problems. If anything is screwed up its because of us citizens. We have the power to make the government look out for our best interests. If they don't abide by what we, as americans, can collectively agree on...it is our right to alter or abolish this government and form a new one (like the one we used to have). This is not only a clearly identified right written in our constitution, but it is our responsibility as Americans. Nothing can happen in this country without the consent of the american people....NOTHING. If the people do not give their consent then the government has no power. Most people don't realize this. They choose to see the government as our rulers. The day we are ruled by our government is the day America will no longer exist. This is also why our 2nd Amendment (right to bear arms) is sooo important....merely because it insures our rights. (Same with all our amendments)

I agree, somewhat, the american people have not been doing their job when it comes to voting and making our government responsible. I brought this up because the "right" has had control for the last eight years and have taken our country to the toilet. What do we have to show after their "right" ideals being in control after 8 years?? After all the bad stuff, war and such, we get a hand out. Well not all of us, I will not see it, but that is what happens to our government after 8 years of "right" control, we get a liberal handout.noway

All politicans do! Not just Hillary! If anyone would really listen to what is being said by any candidate, we would all be voting for Ron Paul! He seems to be the only one who has a clue as to what the real problems are in this country (IMO)! Unfortunately, he can't win because he does not have a political machine behind him, pushing him to the top!

I think it a sad attempt to help the republican canidates in 2008. But is it really helping the American Economy? No. This problem didn't sneek up on us....this problem began festering in 2002! I'm just upset NOW both parties recognize this problem. Hind sight is 20/20, but do we ever learn from our mistakes? Now do we realize company outsourcing, foriegn wars, and an inflated market is NOT helping our economy?

Eh...I hope we can learn from this rather than running around like chicken little "The sky is falling!"

WELL LOOK UP!

Hillary has nothing at all to do with my thought process on this subject. I have watched what people do versus what they say and watching the right and all their philosophies of "no big government, we know what is better for others even if they do not, everyone needs to be responsible for themselves, stop handing out my tax dollars for a free ride, etc...." and now they are happily taking a handout from the government under the ultimate "righty" and not a word of complaint from their mouths on this one.noway It is utter hypocrisy of what they stand for, right????noway huh
