I would slightly agree... however I would think it to be more socialism. If you are refering to the redistribution of wealth. Communism does not actually create wealth...

Well if you are refering to our govt' its because we live in a Republic not a democracy. We elect reps not delegats. They are supposed to make laws that benefit the common good. But some how that always results in higher taxes and more programs. Like Socialism

Most tend to be more socialist then ours. But we are trying to get there as fast as possible. Communism as discribed by Karl Marx has never worked... and just can't. People are not that selfless :)

This is an odd dream to have had laugh

Its better than the flying monkey dream!!! laugh laugh

But if you break it all down.....who are our leaders in government??? Pompous rich people who have never really had to deal with welfare issues on a personal level, alot of their education was paid for by their rich parents.....example......did you all have a final say on the war in Iraq????huh

well, taking communism at it's most basic premise of classlessness and common ownership then...i think it is more easy to argue that all govt is a form of oligarchy rather than communism!!

Well It is not feesable for all people to have a say in the decisions of the country. And even if we did... and 51% wanted to go to war... the other 49 are kind of alienated.

I guess you can make the arguement that the US is an oligracy. But at least we have some recourse for bad decisions from our leaders...

Not sure what goes on there in Canada :)
