I have to disagree on some bands changing just for the sake of change,
so actually did it and improved...

The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Doors (maybe because they all broke up
before their run was over) and to me AC/DC is in total contrast because
they've never changed and their career has remained pretty constant
(LMAO Angus just got too old to tour at that pace and that style of Rock
won't be played anymore)

But I guess their longevity wasn’t too much longer than other big bands
such as Styx, U2, Metallica, Beach Boys, etc…

well what about the members of zepplins solo careers totaly diff from
what you heard in zep.i think if bonham had lived they wouldve changed
as well and it looked like it was going that way too from zepp 1 to zepp
4 it sounds like a different band.

besides music is about self expression through your audio senses i dont

I LOVE MUSIC SO MUCH. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON MY MOOD, SOMETIMES A 6 PACK
OF BEER AND SOME ROLLING STONES JUST SOUND REALLY GOOD.

I didn't say that the big three mentioned didn't change; I'm saying they
did change and they did NOT lose their fire. Normally when a band
changes and hits mainstream they last 3 or 4 albums before they lose
their Pop appeal and the Band ends up cutting albums nobody wants to
listen to (Styx & Metallica are perfect examples of this)...

Oh well, I just hate it when a Band changes and they use the excuse that
they want to evolve but in reality they are just getting old and can
perform/create like they use to.

thing all the time.
