when you tell a woman she is pretty does she believe it? because most woman i tell that to seem to be shocked or in denial, why is that?

sometimes modesty.. sometimes insecurity they really don't believe it...

i dont know why...i honestly wont tell i woman that if i didnt believe it. and then they think im lying or trying to score pionts or something

I have no problem believing the guy.....

It all depends on how you say it if you say "You're pretty" they think you're just trying to get in their pants (Metaphor of course) but if you craft a true honest rendition of your admiration of their beauty, if you spend time choosing the right words to tell them how truly special they are in your eyes they will listen...

the problem is that some people aren't sincere so it makes it hard to tell when someone is using it like a manipulation.. But I like to hear it ...

ok so here goes the duck theroy again..

if you have a chicken.. and it is raised its whole life being told its a duck.. its parents say its a duck.. its grandparents... its friends.. basicly everyone tells it its a duck.... when it grows up.. it will still think it is a duck.. even tho it is a chicken... and it will have a hard time beleving it is anything but a duck...

(((((((((izzie))))))))) I get it but well some ducks think they're chickens and growing up they're always told they're a duck, but they see how beautiful they think all the other ducks are and don't see that when they look in the mirror so they keep thinking they're a chicken no matter how many people tell them they're a duck...

example..

all my life i had a cruel grandma who told me i was fat and ugly... and noone ever told her to shut up.. or told me that it isnt true.... and whenever a breakup happens... ppl are notoroius for being cruel..and most guies knew that one of my biggest weaknesses was my ego.. or whatever you want to call it.. so in mid breakup id always get.. you are so ugly adn fat you will be alone forever.... and it took me a long time to realize that i was not... sometimes i slip back.. but when that hapens.. i am a duck... when in reality.. im a chick!!!
