the most common cause of headaches is poor hydration so make sure you are drinking plenty of H20 , I recommend to my clients to keep a food diary and avoid headache causing foods- grains, caffine.. with any severe headache I would recommend seeing a dr .. hormonal imbalance can cause migranes too ... i drink loads of fluids, and i never drink alcohol. i dont drink tea or coffee, or have choclate. Well didn't you say in another post that you have endometriosis so it could be hormonal.. Keep a journal and you can normally cut down or possibly elimanate you migrane .. and if not you can predict them and do a prevenitive

can you get cluster headaches/migraines, every day??? Yes you can and several times a day for weeks on end, people that dont get them will never understand them, they hurt worse than getting shot, worse than a kidney stone . the only thing that has worked for me other than strong narcotic pain meds is imitrex, unfortunately during a cluster period these can exceed the amount of imitres you can take in a 24 hour period. Good look with the docs, most are very insensitive to this. Have had them since 1981. I wish you well, know what you are going through

I've had headaches literally all my life..We(my docs & I) know what causes them but they haven't figured out a way to stop them..after 29yrs I've given up on a cure/treatment. im so sorry, i dont know how you cope. i just want to bang my head against the wall, im in so much pain I'm sorry you hurt too Debbie..but hopefully you will find the right docs to help you through your pain..I cope because I have no choice in the matter..I don't have a choice in ANY of my pain..and you're right..when you're head hurts THAT bad you DO just wanna knock it up against the wall..I feel like that EVERYDAY ALL DAY..Its not a fun thing having to live that way..There actually IS one medication that works on all my pain but my stupid idiot doctors refuse to let me have it anymore.

ive had this permantly now for 5 days, and i cant sleep because of the pain, do migraines, cluster headaches, last this long?? if no what could it be. im also getting sickness as well, and i feel like someones sticking there fingers in my eyes. How is your blood pressure?

Now are you sure this isnt a tension migrain. Different meds for different types.

Now are you sure this isnt a tension migrain. Different meds for different types. no its not a tension headache, ive tried meds for that.

Have you talked to your doctor about this?? yes, he gives me sumitriptan. he says i can have 2 a week, and i need 2 a day, its because there really expensive. im really having it out with him tommorow because i cant carry on like this.

Yeah I know alot of my patients get only get partial supplies. Without insurance its difficult for people to get their meds. One option is to see if he/she has any take homes. Also Glaxo (the company that makes it) does have funding options on some of their meds.
