How long of a time until the bank repo your car? I just got a mail saying I been late on my car payment when I never recieve my first bill yet! The bank closes on the weekend so I gonna have to wait until Monday. I'm kinda nervous. The letter said the first payment was due on 1-27-08.

Hide it at a relative/friends house far from your house til you pay it!!!

Go make your payment monday...you will be fine...i think it takes months before they would repo it, and I think you would get a warning letter...they dont like to do that...its expensive for them.

I used to Repo part time....Most banks have the red flag after 120 days. They will usually try to work with you first before coming to get it...Depending on the lender... Chances are your okay being this soon, unless their was a problem with your crdit and they decided to pull the loan, have seen that happen also

I think you have to be farther behind than 2 weeks before they repo your car.

It usually takes about two to three months to get all the repo paperwork in and hire the tow truck or repo guy... depending on the finance company.

The banks hire indep. people to come and pick it up when you least expect it.(You had better hide it good) Because they find it--its gone . I know!!

And I would like to ad, you know you bought the car. You were told when you bought it when your payment was due. Don't count on getting a bill in the mail. Be proactive about your statement if you don't receive one.

You need three missed payments until they can hire out for a repo. As far as hiding your car... Thats why repos hire locators. They will find you car, even if it is locked in a garage.

They only repo if you're late for three or four consectutive months or more, I think. They will send you a letter warning you BEFORE they repo though, so you should be safe.
