Has anybody else tried it out yet? I downloaded it last night just to try it. And as I like some of the feature. There are some kinks that obviously need to work out. Like I do not like how you can not clean up the download page. And my Flash Player does not seem to want to work on it. I downloaded it once thinking my Flash just needed to be upgraded, but still not working properly. Guess it is time to delete it and go back to Firefox 2.0.0.12 or whatever number they are up to now..lol.

So who has tried it and what do you think about it?

Strange. I have been using FF for years and never once had a problem.

There is a browser called SeaMonkey? You mean they are not just the little creatures that swim around in my friends tank?

Yeah, it's also made by Mozilla. It's more of a Web Suite than a browser. It comes with other things than just a browser attached.

I use Firefox on a daily basis.
I don't go as far as downloading and using the beta versions, however. I don't care to spend the time messing with it.

One thing that has always gotten on my nerves about Firefox is the poor profile management system that would always break in early 1.x versions.

I don't see how Firefox would normally completely trash an OS install, however.

One similar product I've toyed with is Flock, "the social web browser". It's basically the Firefox chassis with a shiny new body dumped on top that makes communication and information sharing quick and "easy" (I find the interface heavily cluttered).

I use Firefox as well as Opera, too.

I wish they'd fix FF's memory leakage, though- I checked my resources once and I found it took up about 400MB of memory!

Hopefully version 3 will be better with the memory management.

The 3.0 beta 3 seems to fix that annoying memory leak...lol

Yeah well... On my machine it seems to fix it.. but haven't played with it too much... I don't have time lately... I run my own consulting firm... A bit short staffed and a lot of calls coming it lately...lol
