Sitting here, gazing into space
my mind wandering in no special place
coffee in one hand, smoke in the other
constantly thinking, thoughts one after another
life has brought me thus this far
total illuminates all the scars
walking from childhood, to manhood
has been a long journey, to now single-hood
sometimes happy, sometimes sad
but some of the things have just, made me mad
seen the horrors of the war,
and the pain it brings
from a peaceful man, to wedding rings
once a father, and watching them grow
now single, and having to let them go
the Reaper took them as he appeared
took them to a place most people fear
now I sit here, alone in my world
head is spinning, bent in a swirled
wanted my life to be something
but here I sit now with nothing. BOONEDOG
