I've been shooting since i was six. Dad set me up with a .22 Marlin w/a 4x scope, and a brick of ammo. That was fun.

I've never had the pleasure of pheaseant hunting, not many of them on the east coast. Sure looks like it would be fun.

I go hunting every year, archery and rifle plus I put in for the HAM hunt for Javelina Hand gun Archery Muzzleloader! I've put in for Elk the last 5 years but still haven't been drawn:angry: I also go after rabbits with stick and string and dove and quail with shotgun as well.

To me, dove hunting is the most fun. Second to that would be Antelope hunting (bagged 2). Funny thing is, I've never been deer hunting.

If I'm going to hunt bear or cougar, kinda like to have at least a side arm for back-up.

SC did, I think. Back in the 1700's elk was native to the southeast.

Now the biggest thing you can hunt here is white tail.

my guess is they're a sight big bigger than ones I hunt! I hunt the Coues white tail, a big buck on the hoof will go maybe 130lbs. but up on the Kaibab on the Rim of the Grand Canyon the White tail there get pretty big. we also have Buffalo but those tags are like 2k.
