Ya know, I did the marriage thing...and I doubt it'll happen again.
Living together in a commited relationship is just the same to me...the only difference is a damn piece of paper in the county clerk's office. Just my opinion though, I could be wrong ~~~wiggle~~~ |

i don't see anything wrong with living together. you can have the same
level of commitment to your partner without the marriage license as you can without it. |

If you are truly in love, why do you really need a piece of paper? I
believe that you can live with someone and have that close bond with them. No piece of paper is going to tie you to someone...if you want to go, then you will go! I know what you are saying about the religious thing, trust me, I have been there. I got married because I wanted to be married in God's eyes...never again! I can live with someone and feel as much in love with that person as I did when I said my wedding vows. I think each person has thier own views on this, so this is just how I feel about this :) |

Mike,
When I was going to file for divorce in Florida I was advised that by more then one attorney. I agree it should be equal but all it takes to be charged is one mother saying they left with my child and I don't know where they are. That my friend is the cold hard fact in the matter the only way for a man to retain legal custody of his child is through proving his wife to be unfit unless the mother signs off on her parental rights that is. |
