you’ve lost its meaning left me to wonder if i ever really held it left me bewildered the crossword puzzle hides its truth as the mourning paper stares back at me i don’t have the answers to the questions i once invented you across me down enlightenment, such a hard price to pay spilled coffee on the page, flowing life lessons blurring the lines on my face crow’s-feet digging deeper into my soul your footsteps growing more faint by the day trust, sharing, togetherness, faith… nothing fits anymore just empty spaces calling for letters that now fulfill other expressions still painting pictures of a once defined reality, when in all reality nothing is real it’s all made up by fabricators of truth meant to distort the view of the many hopeful participants tossed aside unsatisfied unfinished un everything i rest with pen in hand and wait for tomorrows conundrum kc08 |
