Im so sorry for your loss, Ive lost my share of Loved ones over the past year and know the utter devastation it causes, no words can express how I feel for you but time does help, believe she is in heavan with God and no longer feels pain but is eternally happy and waiting for you!

Kizzin, I feel your pain and loss. Death is a horrible thing to deal with. But know this, we will be reunited with our loved ones in another time and place. Be brave and hold on til then.

I've not lost a significant other. So it could be suggested that I cannot speak on this subject.

I have lost family and more people close to me then I've got fingers and toes to count ~ due to disease, unfortunate event and violence.

I empathize for you..
I would be completely lost.

However.. it can and does get better.

My Mom lost the love of her life a few years ago on February 15th. My Father succumbed to Squamous cell carcinoma after a 3 year battle, that took much of his face, his grace, and ruined my family financially.

I remember holding her, with my father lying battered, bloody and dead next to us, in her family room... and her repeatedly saying she was not ready. Every time she said it.. I calmly said that she was. I know that she did not feel like it.. but she was.

I admittedly underestimated that woman on that day. I remember wondering if she would ever smile the way I had become so familiar with. I should know better.

Her love for my Father... and her sheer resilience of self carried.

Many of the reasons I respect her, value her.. and probably hold her to a much higher standard then many others in my life, soon came to fruition.

Later that day.. after they came and took my Father.. She smiled, while we were reminiscing. Her genuine, beautiful and somewhat mischievous smile.

She still loves my Father. Dearly, completely. As she did, the day they were married better then half a century ago.

In that.. in her.. in me.. in my siblings.. My Dad is still here. I see proof of that to this day.

Sorry for your loss. (I lost the dearest person I had in my life---also.) I do understand....time does heal a lot.

As I read this it brought tears to my eyes. I can't say I know how you feel but I can say my prayers are with you. The love you two shared will help you through these trying times. Like twitch said there are geniune people here that would talk to you in a heart beat if you every feel like talking. We are all just an e-mail away.

i read his profile, and his wife died in his arms, that made me cry, so sad.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife. I lost my grandmother to cancer, she was only 58. It's not quite the same as losing a wife but I know that my grandmother died happy, knowing that she was well loved as I am sure your wife knew you loved her dearly. She will always be with you.
