being alone..
trying to touch the sky..
or sitting by a stream..

im glad to read that many people here know that a special place to call your own is essential for the health of the spirit..

hey..from serious pommeling...to serious pampering.

i have met some serious extreme sports enthusiests..but never a woman..
great show..
you're keeping it safe though i hope
of course but even with all the precautions I took a 10 foot header off a 65 foot cliff .. caught by the rope but dropped 10 to 15 feet .. hit with falling rocked and was knocked out .. 5 stiches and a cat scan .. it happens

this is exactly the reason....

why all though i admire people with this kind of flair very much..
it frightens me as equally to know that there are so many people playing games with life..

i can see that your enjury hasnt stopped your love for the sport though..
please do be careful

no it has not see rock climbing is very Zen to me in this crazy multi tasking world it is the single focal experiance the only thing that matters is my next hand or foot hold, not if my butt is too big or have I mailed off the check to pay my taxes or am I good enough for this or that .. it is just about clinging to the wall and moving up ward.. it is much like life it is the journey that matters.. sorry off subject

Actually, you aren't off subject at all... point of fact, you're ON subject. Your moment of Zen, on that rock, the next foothold or hand grip away. That's the spirit and essence of this thread posting. Your Shangri La. (=

not at all miss shoes..i see the point whole heartedly..right on topic
to you rock climbing is an extension of your life...the freedom that you must feel must be totally worth the rush.
for a little while you can be one with your spirit..

i cant even begin to imagine the power that you feel once you've conquered the sedimentery beast,,

but instead of gripping chaulk..
can you use crazy glue??

never let go of your spirit..
no matter how the people you love, get a tripple by-pass..

all the best

I'm staged, and the lights on my side of the tree start coming down.
The world then moves in my time.bigsmile

Even better when the win light shines on my side.
When it doesn't, a bad day at the drag strip beats, well, almost anything!bigsmile

Briefly: Ever see drag racing on TV? The starting lights are called a "Christmas Tree". Staged means my tires are in the infra red beams that activate the timers. In the type of racing I do, each of the three yellow lights comes on for .5 seconds, down to the green light, and the slower car leaves first through a self-handicapping system.

I like the way I said it the first time, better.bigsmile

my brother is a fanatic about all sorts of car races and monster truck dealies...he gets a rush from them all the time...
i just didnt get the analogy with the trees..laugh

very spiritual way of discussing burning tires..and the rush for the sport..
kudos..
