Topic: trying to quit smoking...

i have gone 3 days now and going ****ing insane...i was just tired of smeeling like smoke and not like a girl should smell of perfume and stuff...plus too much money...so....wish me luck!! <<<< squid

I dont smoke...so I dont know personally. But it seems to me, the hardest time to resist is when youve been drinking. If you can do that, then you should be good to go.

ahh the hard parts almost over..it takes two days to flush your body of nicotine..and about three weeks to break a habit. i want to stop smoking as well, but i can never get past day 2. hah. good luck!

i wish you luck....just dont go out and buy any!!!!! Make sure you take all the ashtrays out of your house and anything that reminds you of smoking!!!

Drinks lots of water, decrease the caffeine big time, and go outside and walk. Another craving? Walk some more. If you can't stand it, get the patch. You can do it!!!!

Good luck and don't give up! What worked for me(kinda gross, but) was visualization...whenever I had the urge, I'd close my eyes and imagine(really imagine) licking a dirty wet ashtray. Don't give in, though...'cause you'll get mad at yourself and smoke even more to punish yourself. (by the way, I'm smoking again, but I'll be able to give it up when I'm ready)

Good luck!! Took me many years and many tries..but been smoke free over 2 years now! I used the patches, that helped me a LOT. So if you have the nicotine addiction, try those, can help ! GOOD LUCK!!!
