You should be asking yourself that question. Did your mom love you? Start there. How many women do you want to love you? When you want something that badly, unfortunately, it doesn't happen. Why? I guess because we focus on that one thing so much that we miss a whole buncha other stuff going on. If you're happy with yourself, love'll find you.

I DID the "for life" thing ...apparently, our lives ended and nobody told me! 
As far as love goes, I feel like a ghost now....just drifting. I'm ok in general. I have more "up" days than "down" days at least. Didn't think I'd be ok, but I am. I can't see anybody getting my guard back down to try again. I'm glad there's people out there that are willing to continue on that quest and I hope it works out for all!
