hello peeps!
i recenlty got laid off from my job. I was there 3 years. So i did an interview and clammed up. I got all nervous when she asked me to tell me about myself. i felt myself stutter!lol
i am a very shy person by nature. it was like i couldnt get the qualities across that i needed to tell her! i am very skilled worker, but as soon as i feel but on th espot, its like my brain melts and i look and talk like a dummy! is it only me? any advice on how to get past this?

any advice when it comes to the realms of ones own charicter and traits whereas personality is conserned miss kitten..would be a gamble at best..all acording to his or her own gifts..i would think...

you seem like a nice woman..most shy people are usually brimming with kindness..
speaking your mind..finding those qualities inside you and expressing them when the time comes to do so..and realizing that you cant, is not a fault...but it can be considered as such by people who want to know your confidence level in the world of employment...

for the next interview that you have...go there with a lioness's maw..
go to it with the feeling that you were meant for the task...

and when you get asked by the interviewer qualities about yourself, dont look for them...but know that they are..

all the best...

kolhauszer and nicole..

It happens with a lot of people. Try not to think about things, focus on the moment, and be confident. flowerforyou

In college we practiced mock interviews with random students. This was an excellent way to learn from both points of view. With enough practice from a lot of the common questions and others some students like to dig up creatively, your brain sometimes naturally answers the question through instinct. You minus out the moments of "ummm....ahhhh" and reel out those somewhat scripted answers. Of course, you'll never be able to practice EVERY possible question a interview can muster, but you should be flexible with a good base.

ps. check out some of the popular Job search engine sites out there, they normally have sections for interview tips, etc.

Just keep going on job interviews and the more you go the more you will feel better about being able to talk to other people and not being so shy either.

Trust me I am a shy person as well, I mainly keep to my self unless spoken to but I am getting better at trying to talk to others.. just I guess depends on what kind of day I am having and all.

Best of luck to you in your search for a job that is.
