Why was I approaching men? Well, I was more than a little inebriated, so that had a lot to do with it. But also, if I want to be treated and seen as an equal to men in the world, then I should act like an equal, right? What's wrong with saying hi? I'm sure it makes guys feel good to be approached by girls sometimes (and I try not to be creepy..)

I do understand the inebriatedness...

I don't ever want a man to think I am equal to him, unless we are in a relationship...then it's a little different.

Ladies, why are you approaching men? Why are you not making them come to you?

I'm not a lady, but I figure it has to do with equality. there might as well be the same amount of women who come up to men as there are men that come up to women.

On a personal note, thanks for trying to make it nearly impossible for me to meet some one. I'm not sure I'd have the courage to walk up to a girl I don't know and introduce myself... maybe, I'd have to see.

Joshy, you will never hear me preach about the equality of men and women...we are different in many different ways. No one is better or worse...just different and not equal.

Man up Joshy... you'll be surprised at how much your dating circle will expand. walk with confidence baby. That's just sexy.

Confidence has alway been an issue with me, I have been working on it and even getting better with it, but it still seems like I'm much more confident "flirting" online than in person.

Well of course every one is... that's normal. Go out to a club or just walk down the street and say hello to every person you come into contact with.... don't stop to talk...just say hello, man woman or child...most will smile at you or nod or say hello back...work up from there.

Fair enough, but I don't think it's fair that we should have to wait for them to get gutsy enough to approach us. :)

I've ended up in some fantastic relationships with guys with whom I made the first move. Granted, they've turned out to just be friendships, but if I hadn't approached them, I never would have had anything with them.

I would venture to say that because you made the first move that is why you are friends.... (Not always...but most of the time)
