I've lived in NC for almost 17 years now. Originally from Ohio. I like it here for the most part, there's always things that get to you, but NC's a good place to live. Which part? WNC, ENC, or somewhere in between? I'm more central, just outside of Durham. Raleigh and Durham are both ok, there's stuff to do but they're not metropolises. Greensboro or Charlotte are really busy big cities. Personally I like Raleigh or Durham, because there's stuff to do but it's not so bustling that you want to kill someone (most times hahaha). Durham, just be careful, some of Durham is nice, some is ghetto-central. Wilmington is nice too, it's close to the ocean and is an upscale community for the most part. |

I like the Mts.
One day Im going to go to the outer banks though! Raleigh/Durham is cool. One of my sisters lived there for years. Now she lives in Hillsbourgh... Its funny that Ive lived here for soo long, yet, Ive never been to the Coast of NC. Florida, Myrtle beach, and even the Gulf Coast, but never the Outer Banks! One Day, Ive said that for 30 years!! |

Hi everyone, Im out in Charlotte NC now, well been since July. What is there to do out here? Ive been to Breakfast Club, Alley Cats, and HOM.
The DJ's and scene is completely different than Las Vegas. I was a nightclub DJ out there for the entertainment industry out in Planet Hollywood Casino Club Triq and RA at the Luxor. I tend to go back to my roots of BBoying (breakdancing) lol and jamming out on the keyboard/piano. Any ideas where to go to say hello to people? |

I accepted a new job in Durham yesterday so I need to learn more about the area. Thinking if it goes well I would relocate closer. Which areas are the best? Anything on a lake?

durham has kerr lake close, and falls lake is close, but kerr is alot better and cleaner

Durham is a long ways from here!
It seems like its in a different state, sometimes! I can get to Tenn, SC, or GA alot quicker! Geography, is a real factor here. It has made this area unique, and the landscape is beautiful. I love it!
