I found the OBX last summer. It was fantastic! But I cannot stand having to drive 4 hours to the shore!!! On Long Island I was about 20 min and in Tampa about 20 min.

but the drive is worth it if your in the right place, and ocracoke is the number one beach in the country
|

I thought the best beach was Anna Maria in Florida. The sand is like baby powder
|
