they SAY it will be better. but we shall see when it finally comes out. i work tech support and omg people have so much trouble with it its insane. i have it and have no trouble but im a tech so no biggie but customers i help have alot of trouble just finding the pearl(start button) so if you have that down vista has alot of good things to offer.

Nothing has changed... This is Microsoft's way of doing things. It has actually changed how the rest of industry and the world at large does business.

All through their history, since the move to graphic interface with Windows version 1.. but most noticeable in the transition from version 3.1 to '95.

They have released work that is not done ~ since then. We pay for the privilege of being their beta group. They will fix it later... maybe. After a few months... They charge for on-line and phone service!

We now see this happening across the board in manufacturing, service and all across our supply chain.

During each transition.. I'm always amazed when people in my industry are surprised that they did it again...

Generally, it is best to just go with it. Figure out how to get it to run well.. or as well as it can. Which usually means disabling anything not necessary to the computer running.. then adding stuff til it starts to crash.. Then backing off at least a few steps and as much as you can get away with.
