Some winter days it's tiring just getting to work and I've felt a bit sleepy so a quick nap under a car is neccessary!

the best is let it run outside for about 15-20 minutes , bring in the car, and put it on stands , THEN slide under, on the creeper ... nice and warm and sleep wonderfully til the car cools down and the cold wakes you up.. OR the shop foreman finds you ... LOL

I always hated bring cars in during the winter and getting under them. All that slop drpping off of them. That's why I have short hair now.
I was underneath an old Jag that I'd just brought in and my hair was dragging around in the puddles. It somehow got wrapped up in one of the wheels on my creeper. I had to crawl out from under the car with the creeper attached to the back of my head. I tried to untangle it for a few minutes with Nick(other mech.) laughing at me. I finally gave up and took an Olfa knife out of my toolbox and sliced the creeper free. I didn't realise how much hair I'd chopped off until later. Needless to say I went and got a haircut that Saturday and it's been short ever since.

Oh that happen to one of my buddies to , and the freakin cursing, and subsequint ( sp) bad hair cut to do the same thing ... once he was untangled we SPLIT A GUT laughing ... he made us buy the beers .... LOL .... been wrenching long ?... |

I've had an interest in cars and most mechanical things as far back as I can remember. I did it for a living for about 10 years including bodywork but got into renovations and construction instead. I find it a bit healthier and I get to be outside during the summer. I still do work on some friends vehicles and always get phone calls for advice. I prefer to play around on my own stuff when I get the chance. I have way too many projects on the go at the moment. Want to buy a Land Rover or a Ford Model A?
