Topic: Sitting Around The Canadian Campfire | |

Hello to everyone around the globe!
I thought this would be a great place for Canadian's to just chat, chat about our country, and the unique province's we live in, from east coast to west coast amongst ourselves and with other's that are not familiar with our province's. Being in Manitoba where -50 is not surprising, 8' snowbanks and winter storms ragging in April, May and June are not unheard of, it is a modest province, maybe even 10 years behind the progressive province's and metropolitan cities. Igloo's are still scattered about the prairies but we use ski-doo's nowadays versus the sled-dog mode of transportation.:bigsmile BTW....it is snowing right this very minute. So much for spring having sprung |

I lived in Manitoba before. You are not 10 years behind but only 8
years. The strangest thing about Manitoba is being told that you're going to become an astronaut when you're on the highway. These signs keep telling you 'Orbit in 5 minutes (or after a certain distance). I think their space program is out of whack. |
OMG......too funny, lol. Yep, it would be a wacked out space program.
Thanks for the laugh! |

Hi, I'm from British, Columbia. I lived in Manitoba and certainly agree
with you about the cold, harsh winters. I lived in Alberta for several years and now here. Hopefully one summer I'll drive across Canada and see the rest of this beautiful country. |

It was 73 degrees F here today. It was a beautiful day on the West
Coast. Sorry to hear about the cold weather out your way Jane. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr |
So cold in Toronto, you'd need bondfires all around you, if you
sat outside. Global warming? not in Canada. |
Ouch sweetie, that one hurt hun, lol. Can I come hang out at your place
until summer comes up over here? I think the 2-3 weeks of summer we get happen in July. Geeeee, I have to move some place warm. grey....Toronto doesn't have winter's anymore really, lol. Global warming hangs right over Tdot, is like summer and spring all year round, lol. |
