A rather nosy friend of mine suggested that I try this place out. This is ironic, as I had a less-than memorable experience with another dating site that said nosy friend had gotten me into. Anywhoo- hello and don't flame me too bad.

Love your pic! Welcome and have fun in the forums. I bet that "other" dating site did not have such awesome people in the forums. Some of them appear to be sleeping or out of town tonight, but I assure you - we rock!!

Thanks for the replies, people. And no- the people at the "other site" were nowhere near as cool. The place didn't even have a forum, for god's sake- instead of forums, they had myspace-esque 'journals' where you put in your 'most intimate thoughts"... which would be fine, if the journals weren't made available for all the other users to read! Needless to say, said nosy friend of mine was taken back when I referred to that other site as "myspace for losers", which it pretty much was.
