I've been sick for about a month...nothing too bad but went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription, which I got filled. When i got home the directions said: 5 pills once a day.
I was like...ehhhh, that doesn't sound right. So I called the pharmacy, talked to the pharmacist who barely speaks english... I asked her about the directions...even repeated the whole "5 pills at one time" thing...she says..yes..all 5 at one time. So, I take them...for 2 days like that. Then this morning, they call and said....the directions were written wrong...you're supposed to take 1 tablet 5 times a day, not 5 all at once. Nice. no wonder I've been so sick the last 2 days. So...if you're not sure that the directions are correct....find someone who IS sure. |

you know what. that is so ridiculous!!! That is a lawsuit right there. You could have been seriously injured. I hope your body gets all that out and it doesnt affect you long term.

it is messed up...but...the store is giving me a gift certificate...hahahahaha....like that will make it all better...you think I should call my lawyer?

I work for a lawyer and if that happened to me, she would be the first person to know in case something happened to me. Im not a person to just sue but ****. that is just appalling to me! |

yep and keep the bottle and get a copy of your phone call for the day you enquired about it

this happened to a friend of mine they gave her the wrong tablets ...she ended up really ill ..has taken chemist to court over it

That is RIDICULOUS! I think I would call an attorney and talk to them over the telephone for sure. If he/she thinks you have a case, go for it. The next person this happens to may not be as fortunate as you have been. A gift certificate doesn't cover funerals!

It's no 5 pills but they told me to take 2 pills a day and it should have been just 1. I called my Dr to be sure and they called to pharmacy to let them have it. |

Would defanetly get a lawyer.And do it soon.You could havelong term affects that won't show up for a long time.My prayers are with you.Hopfully you will be fine.Call your doc.and see what they need you to do.

Attorney would get most of any suit, settle it yourself, with the store. Be reasonable & so will they.

That happened one time to me when I was about 12. I had been sick and had gotten a prescription from the doctor, so when I got home I got the prescription out and read the dirictions and it was a liquid. The directions said drink all contents at one setting. So I asked my mother ...NMo does this mean that I have to drink the whole thing, and she said yes. So I did.
I had just got through drinking the whole bottle when the pharmacy called. They had givven me the wrong prescription. The prescription they gave me was for worms and informed my mother that I had just got a free worming and would not charge her. We were worried, but they assured us that it would not hurt me. Go figure
