Everything is contextual, isn't it? But how much room do we as a society have for more grey areas of law and justice? Do good intentions make bad outcomes better?

as a whole i believe that society..parents included..should not be blamed for the actions if the youths...IF,,and only if the parents were a fine influence on thier child..good intensions and proper guidence sometimes is not enough i agree..even int he best of situations..the warning signs are not always prevalent.

I think the question is if the person serves time really will learn his or her mistake while serving. If one does hard time do they come out clean and ready to function properly in society. As far as I know many don't and are only worse.
Perhaps a different type of punishment should be required that really works? What kind I will let you decide.

Lock them up 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year no tv, no books, nothing but a blanket and a pillow...and the hard floor, and fed beans and bread and water twice a day.
And a five gallon bucket to go to the bathroom in.
I guarantee you there would not be repeat offenders. Who would want to go back to that?
I have a cousin that has been to prison several times just because he say's he likes it in there.
Everytime he get's out he does something to get throwed right back in. Stuff like robbing people, or breaking into houses.

thats really sad and true man...I have a brother in jail...and I live in a city that is full of gangs and every single day I hear the siren of the emergency hospital's truck, cops, firefighters, and over here where I leave u need to learn how to fight man...is just a part of life ...if u dont know how to fight they just brake u man....

Where do you live, because I have lived in places like that

true...as I said my brother is in jail...and my parents have teached us since we were lil to be hardworkers, good students...well just a good person. and still my brother is in jail ...he is not inocent....he tryed passing some drugs to the usa..and now he is behind bars and he stil got 3 or 4 more years to go...he has been only 2 in there....but I question myself ...will he change??....I dont know...maybe he gets worst. and yes parents do have a lil bit of a mistake in our lifes for us to become criminals....because is not the good ones ...is the people they hang out with... if we had gotten my brother out on time of that group of friends he had he probably wouldnt be on jail right now.
Now he can't see how he's lil son is growing, and he doesn't know if he's wife will wait for him til he gets out, or even worst he doesn't knows how society or he's family accept him back

I know...but since they can be dangerous ...they can turn the injection into someone else

Also if they are going to give someone a lethal injection, why don't they just go ahead and use the same needle?huh
