Christian " to be Christ like", yeah after 30 years of living I have met nobody that lives up to that. Christ came for division not peace. Why would any one call themselves christian? are you christ like? can you heal the sick, awake the dead or walk on water? nope, would you sit with a bunch of crazy people for dinner or your "Church"? you know which one you would pick.

ask yourselfs this, are you really christian, or are you following traditions made by men? does any free thought or free will go into your days? If not then how can you make a difference in life, your just like everybody else. same thoughts, same fixes.. yeah 2000 some years none of that works.

use your mind, use "your" ideas. that's why he gave them to you. Just because your christian you dont have to build an ark everytime it rains. Make it stop raining, How you ask? think of a idea! I hate Traditions!! they hinder so many, they make those who are strong feel weak, and those that are weak even worse. Be yourself, not a follower, a leader. God isnt going to hate you because you forgot to go to church sunday, but I can promise he will be disgusted with a wasted life following traditions and never using the gift of thought and idea he gave you.

The bible taught use morals and values, use them, but don't worship them. instead of saying I'm so burdened or I'm so condemed by God, set yourself free of your mind, let go of tradition and realize, you are you because he made you that way. now use your thoughts, not your pastors ramblings. Thats his thoughts.

in the end we all die, God will know I thought on my own, I know he will not turn me away, because he made me, who I am, just like he made you. So quit being so depressed all the time, Damn get out and live while your alive have adventures and for god's sake think on your own.

I would say this is true. The doctrines and teaching of men are more important to Christians that, as you say taking the lead. Life is about having adventures, living according to faith without fear. Doing things that are different, that dont make sense to others.

People do not like to be challenge in any way that makes them feel unconfortable or that threatens their way of life. Few will give up all to follow Christ because we no longer need to.

I may call myself a christian, but only because it is something that the bible asks us to do. we ALL are hypocrites and ALL fall short... What I DON't do, however, is claim a particular brand of christianity. I consider myself to have a relationship with God, not a religion. Religion is merely a fashion show; religion is basically rite and rote. In those aspects, you are absolutely correct. I'm glad I was able to read your post. It made my day.
