I awake
Crack open on eye
Look at the clock
With a great sigh I roll over
Reach across and shut off the alarm before it goes off
Slidin up in bed
I scoot over to the right corner of the bed
Against the wall and window
Pulling up the shade
I watch the sun rise up over the hill in the east
Brilliant pinks and oranges
It takes my breath away
And I wonder
If you're awake yet
And seeing what I am seeing
The frost kissed and wrapped around every tree and blade of grass
And I long for the mornings I can watch the sun rise with you
Throwing back the blankets
I rise and shuffle off to the coffee pot
Pressing the on button and await
For that rich aroma
Th sensual gurgle of the pot
And I wonder
If you are doing the very same as I
Reaching for my Harry Potter mug
Tossing in 3 spoons of sugar
Walking to the fridge and geting the cream
And I long for the mornings I can get coffee for you as well
Taking my first sip
Feeling it run through my body
I think back on last nights conversation
Our hopes and dreams
Our whispered words of love
The giggles from me
The deep voice from you
The last soft whispers of I love you before hanging up and falling
asleep
And I wonder if you too are thinking back like I
Opening the front door
Feeling the cold seep through
Watching the doe ran across the road
