I'm not kidding!!! Take your favorite candy bar and place a wooden skewer through it and freeze solid. Then, dip it in funnel cake batter (a thousand recipes can be found if googled) and deep fry it in vegetable oil until browned evenly. Remove from the deepfryer and drain on paper towel. Place on serving platter and dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate syrup. OH MY GOSH!!!

Nope--calorie free to be sure. The frying part kills the calories, yet leaves the taste. Weird how that works...

How do you get a wooden skewer through a candy bar in the first place? Unless your fav candy bar is Heath or M&M's it's no biggie. Start at one end...poke it lenghthwise all the way through... And aLittleBird---many thanks for that compliment. I needed that today....one might say...I'm having a "fat day." LOL

Hey that would be a fantastic party food if you use the mini size candy bars. Who counts calories? Isn't that like counting how many shovels full it takes to dig a grave?

Just a thought. but if you had two M&M bars and unwrap them. Then let them get slightly warm ,then sandwich a stick in between them. Then you can refroze wouldnt that work for your deep frying needs ?
