That breaks rule, crap, I lost my print out. Ummm, that's belitting someone indirectly, that could be construed as directly, because said mod is reading this. Ok, is that clear enough, or should I be more vague? |

And actually the thread broke two of the forum rules to begin with Topics which are started with the intent to denigrate, belittle, or disparage another JustSayHi member, either directly named or through enough descriptive commentary to be possibly identified, are prohibited A topic called name that tune..broke this rule??? chevy what I just posted was concerning the thread you started after you received the e-mail that was sent to you that is what my post in this thread was referring too not the tune thread. You know this place is not worth the time.......later... |

Now that I think about it. All those "Hi all", "I'm new", etc etc post are ALL not legal, because they draw attention to you? Is there a grey area, if you're trying to draw attention to yourself by saying hi or are those just overlooked, because its ok to draw attention to oneself in some instantances but not others?
Wait, that's IT!!!! Make all posts in ALL forums, "Hi I'm new" Regardless if you're new or not! |

The JSH that I joined was nothing like it is now. Most of the "old crowd" seems to be gone. I am headed in that direction myself. All that's left is a bunch of late teens-mid 30s people and there is just no sophistication left in the site. I think it started when we blended with the "mingle" site. I still read the forums, but, the topics are so juvenile it makes me sick! As far as I'm concerned "another one bites the dust". This will be deleted, but, i just don't give a rats anymore. I'll agree with you, although I gotta say I do resent being generalized. |

Wait, that's IT!!!! Make all posts in ALL forums, "Hi I'm new" Regardless if you're new or not! Actually that is in the forum rules also as: 9) Post topics in the appropriate forum. For example, chat topics like "I'm bored", or "Goodnight everyone" belong in the Chit Chat forum. And they have a specific forum for NEW MEMBERS as well. |

Gumby we should just let it be.. We're not going to win it and only get in trouble for it.. Chevy is pissed and possibly leaving.. This place is loads of fun almost always.. but I think that some mods are different than others so some nights work differently.. All in all most nights are cool though...

This place is loads of fun almost always.. but I think that some mods are different than others so some nights work differently.. All in all most nights are cool though... I like beating dead bushes, horses, and lime jello. But it just got to me tonight, well that and the beers I had. Just got a bit annoyed and vented a lot of non-related crap. Felt good though, amused me for about an hour. |

Now that I think about it. All those "Hi all", "I'm new", etc etc post are ALL not legal, ..... Actually an exception is made specifically for these posts. They are allowed for new people and only in the "New" forum. The rest of this - to delete or not delete - seems to be a little randomly enforced. Then again I'm all for a complete free-for-all with anything goes posting. If someone wants to trash talk then let 'em. That way the rest of us will know what an @$$hole they are and we can ignore them. If I can't handle someone who doesn't have a clue who I am badmouthing me then I really shouldn't be on a dating site or trying to be part of a social group should I? I really really REALLY want to start a "Pick on Me" thread to see what kind of zingers people can throw at me but I know they'd yank it in a heartbeat. |

No it would not be that is for NEW MEMBERS ONLY to post there first introduction. |

While smoking, I had an epiphany. Why are the forums pg-13, when you have to 18 to be on here?

While smoking, I had an epiphany. Why are the forums pg-13, when you have to 18 to be on here? Lol ohh but we do have one section that is Rated R but if you notice most all dating sites are 18 and up. |
|
|
|
It's PG-13 because it's not a porn site. Some adults don't like sexual content, vulgar language, etc.

But what have any of us really said that is really offensive? I mean we all have different views of offensive just like we do of Religion and Abortion... Out of curiousity in the Religion post are threads deleted? I mean talking about religion can get very heated... I can see if someone was really bashing just everyone in every post but why have a site like this if we can't say what we feel or want? Can't we have forum sections for "those not easily offended" vs. "those that are"? They could take away the "Top 5 topics" and let us just go by Topic area/genre's... It's like TV if we don't like to watch R rated we don't get HBO, etc. and if we like it we watch it.. If we don't like the News we don't watch it.. You get my point.. This site seems too worried about protecting anyone that might complain when those anyone's can go to another thread or perhaps grow thicker skin.. In the every day world they sure in the hell don't censor it so I'm ok with all that goes on... JMHO

There are ways to say anything you want to anyone you want, WITHOUT breaking any rules. I can never understand why people don't see this. Rules are made for the saftey of all. Work within them & there is no problem. I really enjoy a good debate & can do it without getting upset. Poss. some of the time, folks are engaging in some form of relaxation, that causes them not to think straight. Think that was mentioned by someone else.

Agreed but you can say something wrong according to the rules without really saying anything derogatory or cursing.. Also, the relaxation sometimes just makes someone say more than they normally would not necessarily anything bad.. |

Think that was mentioned by someone else. oldsage, this all started because a thread which was discussing, and supporting, exactly what you said...was deleted. Turns out someone had posted an email on there and that was why it was deleted, not due to any insults or vulgarities. We're all agreeing that discussions don't need to become personal or derogatory. |

All amounts to a rule violation.
Best to let it go & stop playing with wooden spoons. |
