Some people are just shallow. But honestly, I have not encountered that much on here. There are a lot of great people on here and if one of them is meant for you, they will find you or vice versa. Good luck. ALL PEOPLE ARE SHALLOW !!!!!! Just in diffant ways. Some want to know what your credit report is like???? Some are concerned with weight.... Some are concerned with appearance.... Some are concerned with education..... Some are concerned with social status.... Some are concerned with carreer. Most are concerened with credit report though  The only people, with no concerns... watch out for those.. they just want a quick F*c# |

i always tell myself if someone wants to change me...well on the inside..hell they can play wordrobe on the outside all they want...but if they want to change the inside well forget them

I think they do. I mean, of course, right? No matter what anyone says, looks ARE the first impression. But after that initial introduction, I think it's more of the little things that matter...(Cheesy, I know!!!)

I think appearance is a factor --
Doesn't have to be the main factor or even a big factor -- But it certainly can enter into the equation. And everybody has their own level of priority they assign to it.... I have always felt that you might lose out on being with someone really great if you exclude them for any arbitrary reason -- whether it's looks or weight or age or height or shoe size or eye color or whatever -- But I do firmly believe in every person's right to establish their own preferences....and we're not all going to agree with each other's standards.... |

Not one of us like to say it ! But looks and size do matter, just something that is inside us.

Amy, if I only had an answer to that question. I really don't know why people do what they do. But, if they judge you, based on whatever it is they judge you on, do you really want to waste your time with them anyway? There are people out there that aren't judgmental and they WILL come along. People judge by many things. I get judged ALL the time, because of my way of living. So, don't feel alone, just channel your energies to the right people

Unfortunately, society does tend to judge people based on superficial attributions, thats a given fact, but acknowledge this and work on accepting yourself first---(which usually is the hardest thing to do). Berryboo is right but I would like to add that EVERYONE has their tastes.. I may be one persons idea of attractive and not another's and the same for you.. We are all individuals and while yes there are shallow people it doesn't mean that everyone is or that only attractive people get things.. A guy that makes me weak in the knees you may think is ugly... Here's a question.. If someone is shallow b/c they want to be attracted to a person physically... Are they also shallow b/c the want to be attracted to someone mentally and aren't interested in people that are dumb as stumps??? Excellent point! |

I know noone believes this but I can honestly say that I would give Shrek a chance if he were kind and treated me with respect.

Nothing about physical appearance matters to me, it is all down to personality...the first thing I will notice physically is your eyes, which if I do say are quite lovely. If you have a good personality, outgoing, and laugh a lot, that is all that matters...whips and chains are a plus though, that just ices the cake
