I've asked myself this very question. Two years after ending my long
term relationship with my college sweetheart, I wonder if love ever had
anything to do with the choices he and I made and will make in the
future.

Was it me? Was it him?

Here is a breakdown: Met first day of college, 18. Started dating
second week. Became extremely close quickly, he was a virgin (I was
not). Third year of relationship he cheats, I find out, actually catch
him several times, forgives. Senior year, trust is completely gone.
Graduate, things seem ok. We move in together, he cheats. Relationship
ends at 6 1/2 years. Two years later...we talk regularly, hang out at
least once a week intimately, he has other people he is seeing, so do I.

Hence, what does love got to do with it? I'm confused. Advice needed,
now.

the fridge and come back a month later and think it will be good

Love has nothing to do with it! Its casual sex which is ok if you are
both ok with it. Will it change? Most likely not. Im totally convinced
that love grows over time and living through good times as well as bad,
