IP addresses are outside the scope of us moderators. Anything of that nature would have to go to Mike or one of the other admins.

No, they can't. They could block an IP, but 99% of the people on here are using DHCP via their ISPsmokin ...so, just release/renew the IP...and you've got a new one.

Ummm you got a static IP at your place??? Umm I doubt it.

Thats the only way to "block" an IP

Otherwise just unplug your router or intenet box for about 3 min, plug it back in and you should have a new IP address assigned to you. That is the "typical" style used for residential.

What the hell am I talking about...it's not like I am some computer systems/network engineer for the past 17+ years. Don't listen to him..he's nutz! noway bigsmile drinker laugh smokin

Yeah, that would have to go to the admins -- moderators mainly deal with the forums, and we handle some things via e-mail -- but as far as account deletion issues, etc., that's another department....

This is the bottom line answer to the question,

Forum moderators are just that. We mod forums. If there is a problem in forums please use the report abuse feature. Or you can mail a moderator. Mods do not have the ability to search ip's, nor the ability to ban users. We may request forum locks or bans but we cannot issue them.

Now, for questions about profile issues or email issues, those are better left to the Admins.

Let me explain that further for all of you. If you have a problem with emails or profiles, reporting to a mod will only slow the process of settling your claim/questions.

What i mean by this, is the moderator forum is strictly for mods and forums. Email and profile issues should go straight to Admin. The reason is this.....If you ask a mod to report these type problems, and they are non forum related issues, then the mod becomes a third party, there are double the reports and Admin cannot handle this as quickly. Please mail Admin directly with non forum related issues.

This is not to say mods are non representative of the site, it is only to say matters will be handled more efficiently through the proper channels.

Hope that helps, and my email is always open for questions,
sincerely,
Markecephus/Mark Forum Moderator
