Is there a movie that is greater than Fight Club?

the answer to that is no.
Seriously, try and tell me a movie that was better! It's impossible.

Tough one......Fight Club was awesome, Sixth Sense was great the first time i saw it, but its not close....I'd have to say IMHO that Shaolin Soccer is just as awesome as Fight Club.

You gotta love Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. That movie makes me laugh so hard every time I watch it, and it never gets old.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, the ORIGINAL Rollerball with James Caan, Karate Kid, L.I.E., Citizen Cane, The Man Who Laughs, Metropolis, Brazil, La Strada, La Jetté, La Cité des Enfants Perdus, Das Boot, Ran, Rasberry Reich, The Holy Moutain, and Coonskin.

Just off the top of my head. Of course I liked those better then Fight Club so I suppose it's all a matter of taste. I did like Fight Club, but there are other meats for me to enjoy in our cultural stew...I know it's an odd metaphor, sorry.

Actually ... there MIGHT be. I mean, Fight Club is my all time favorite movie. BUT there are ones to me that are equally as amazing as Fight Club ... here they are:

- Ping Pong (Japanese movie) > totally inspirational ... changed my life FOREVER.
- Mind Game (Japanese anime movie) > same here, changed my life BIG TIME.
- Infernal Affairs (Original version of The Departed) > Just really smart and amazing.
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind > Beautiful atmosphere and the emotions ... ah~~~
- Waking Life > Philosophical ... opens up your mind.

Seriously, if you haven't seen these .. you're missing out BIG time. If you never see these by the time you die, then you'd just wasted your life ... laugh

Okay, I'll admit that was a beeeeautiful movie, and probably my second favorite, but it didn't have that moment, that twist, where you think, "No way did that really just happen!"
And Chuck Palahniuk, the writer of Fight Club, is a mastermind of that. :]

Well, if Eternal Sunshine is probably your second favorite, then you should definitely check out the other movies I listed (Maybe not Waking Life ... it isn't all the exciting). Anyways, I can be pretty sure (99.999999%) that you'll LOVE them. Check them out and let me know what you think.

by the way, I wouldn't give all the credit to Chuck Palahniuk. because the director David Fincher is REAL awesome, too!! bigsmile
