Sweet lovely Debbie
Had no such bevy As friends and family to call on. So when things got to rough She stripped to the buff And donned petties and stockings and all on. Then she'd look in the mirror At her plump reflection And she'd smile and make faces till she Found one that she liked And would put on that night, Then she practiced her laugh to sound glee. And she'd powder her nose and paint red her lips Then slip on her dress and her heels too, And when she felt ready (Three drinks made her steady) Then down the sidewalk flighted she flew. Till she came to a corner, Her own special corner Where all of her dear johns would wait To purchase her favours, And employ her labours, And she smile and laugh loudly but think: O God, how this life I hate.
